About Us

Gillespie Lumber Company was established in 1965 by R.L. Gillespie and his son Lloyd to meet the ever growing demand for hardwood products. We are now beginning the third Generation with the announcement of Robyn Gillespie taking over management of the mill. Over the years we have become a well know supplier of hardwood products throughout the Texas/Louisiana region. 

Gillespie Lumber Company initially produced quality hardwood cross ties for the railroad industry along with board road materials for oil exploration. In order to better serve our customers we have expanded our manufacturing to include Crane/Dragline mats and Laminated mats. We also sell Pallet lumber to pallet manufactures, and shipping companies needing the strength that can only be found in a hardwood pallet. Stevedores use our custom sized hardwood timbers and hardwood dunnage to secure some of their most expensive loads before transport overseas. 

We are also proud to announce that we now rent Crane/dragline, and Laminated mats. We have flexible terms and are willing to work with you on all your rental needs.
